There is plenty of excitement over the next Call of Duty installment. This is especially true today because of the recent reveal trailer event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. For those who took part in the special in-game event in Call of Duty Warzone, you were treated to the official gameplay trailer reveal for this year’s installment of the long-running video game franchise. But there’s another confirmation we can provide today. While previously rumored, it looks like your favorite past Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II maps will be present in the upcoming game.
As mentioned, this was a rumor going around online not long ago. We even reported on the rumor suggesting that the past Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II video game that came out in 2009 would be featured in this upcoming installment. That might be a treat for some who particularly enjoyed the maps that were in the original video game. But today, thanks to a report from GamesRadar, we’re finding out a press release by Activision has confirmed that sixteen of the launch maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II would be featured.
Not only will these maps be featured, but they’ll also come with their own remastered editions and expanded for the game. Those maps you can expect within this game will be listed below. Meanwhile, it’s also noted that this game will include four huge environments. These will be composed of three brand-new Battle Maps which, according to Activision’s blog post, will be rather massive for Ground War and Invasion game modes.
