Plenty of hype is built around the next Armored Core installment, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. For instance, this is the first Armored Core video game in quite a few years which might have helped in the anticipation for the new installment. It was a surprise announcement during last year’s The Game Awards when it was unveiled FromSoftware was bringing this IP back. But with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon underway, we only have just a bit longer before we can get into the game ourselves. Currently, the title is set to launch later this month. But before it has even landed on store shelves, it’s already proving to be a hot seller.
It looks like there is no shortage of players right now that’s interested in diving back into Armored Core or are curious about trying this franchise out. Today we’re finding out that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is dominating the Steam Top Sellers page. While it’s not ranked number one on the page, it has safely secured itself within the top ten-selling video game titles on the Steam digital marketplace. If you look at the page right now, you’ll find that FromSoftware’s next big video game release is listed as the eighth top-selling game right now.
You’ll likely see this game quickly move up the list as we approach and ultimately land on the game’s official launch date. But so far, plenty of players are purchasing the game ahead of its launch. That’s not too surprising, with most likely wanting to take advantage of any potential preloading the game might have or already knowing this is a title they’ll be enjoying right when it becomes available. As mentioned, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon launches this month, and players will be able to pick up the game on August 24, 2023.
This title puts players into control of a massive mech as you seek out a newly discovered energy source. However, it becomes a cutthroat battle to secure the energy source between massive corporations. Players will not only control a mech, but they’ll also get to customize it to their liking. If you’re familiar with previous Armored Core games, then you know there is quite a robust system here as you tweak and make little adjustments to your mech.
While this game is slowly crawling its way up the Steam top sellers page chart, this game is not a PC exclusive. Outside of the PC platform, you can expect the game to be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. In the meantime, while we wait for the game to launch into the marketplace, you can view a trailer for the game below.
