There’s no shortage of rumors and speculation pieces for the video game industry. Fans will quickly look to figure out everything they possibly can from a development studio when it comes to their next big video game release. For instance, one IP that has been constantly seeing a new batch of rumors is Grand Theft Auto. Fans are waiting on Rockstar Games to unveil Grand Theft Auto VI finally. This installment is in the works, but we have not seen anything official. Fortunately for fans, there was a series of leaked clips that surfaced online, and it gave players a bit more insight into the game.
Now Twitter user RockstarGTAVl has been highlighting several aspects of these leaked clips. It’s a constant battle from Rockstar Games as they take down leaked content. However, the Twitter account has continued to highlight different aspects of the game, whether that’s police chase sequences to the characters themselves. But recently, the Twitter account has further highlighted that Grand Theft Auto VI will be set in Vice City. That’s something we’ve seen highly rumored for a good while.
But if you want some evidence to back it up, the Twitter account highlighted two recent pieces of evidence from past leaked debug content. For instance, the Twitter user pointed out how you can see a flamingo decor within a home which is a clue to this iconic setting location. However, there is one other area that blatantly points out that this next game is set within Vice City. In one clip, you can see a character look at a building that has Vice City within the name.
So right now, Vice City is all but confirmed to be the setting for the next Grand Theft Auto game. However, what we’re left waiting on right now is the actual release and reveal of this game. But with that said, it’s expected that we might see this game next fiscal year. That’s at least clued in for players from Take-Two Interactive’s recent earnings report. So if that’s the case, we should hopefully see some kind of a reveal for the game before the year is up. That will at least showcase how the game is supposed to look instead of the leaked early build clips, where it’s set, and hopefully a launch window.
