Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is incredibly hyped, and fans of the first game and its spin-off, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, might be keen on getting their hands on the upcoming game. But if you stuck around through the different panels and streams from the recent SDCC, then you might have caught the details of the limited edition PlayStation 5 console and accessories based around the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The only thing fans were left out on was just how much these little goodies would set us back.
Fortunately, the mystery might be unveiled. Today a new report from Dealabs, which was translated thanks to Google, unveiled just how much players will be set back. Now if you’re unfamiliar with the announcement we’re referring to, then we’ll clear things up with each item. For instance, the big bundle for the PlayStation 5 includes a limited edition PlayStation 5 console, which features faceplates themed around Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a limited edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller, along with a copy of the game. That entire bundle will run for players $599.99.
Meanwhile, we know that players can purchase the DualSense wireless controller and the faceplates for the PlayStation 5 separately. So if you don’t need the console itself, then the DualSense controller that’s themed around Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will run you $79.99. Additionally, the Faceplates for the PlayStation 5 will cost players $64.99. That’s, of course, not official right now, as this report comes from Dealabs. We might see some variation between these items when they are officially unveiled.
With that said, we know that pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 console bundle will open up on July 28, 2023, according to the PlayStation Blog. As for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we know that the game will launch on the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. That will feature a new foe for Peter and Miles to deal with. We know that the Venom symbiote will play a major role along with a mercenary, Sergei Kravinoff. As mentioned, this is a game currently only slated to launch on the PlayStation 5 platform. But with Sony’s track record, we may see a PC port of the game come out into the marketplace after the game has been available for the PS5 for a few years.
