Splatoon 3 Announces Upgraded Classic Splatfest

July 27, 2023 by Todd Black

It’s back…back again!!!

The Splatfest schedule for Splatoon 3 has been a bit unique compared to past titles in the franchise. The past two games have had a steady schedule of one Splatfest per month, and fans counted on that. But for the newest game, Nintendo has been a bit more inconsistent with things. There have been “breaks” in the schedule that have been hard to predict, and when those breaks happened, other “events” in the game’s world often took place. We bring this up because many thought a new Splatfest wouldn’t happen until September, and yet, we’re getting one in a few weeks.

But not only is that release date a bit shocking, the topic of the event is making many fans’ jaws drop. Why is that? Nintendo is bringing back one of the classic Splatfests of the past and giving it both a redo and an upgrade. We’ll explain.

In the last title, a Splatfest dealt with “Which is more important, love or money?” The topic was so close in its rankings that Nintendo actually had to update its results to show the percentage of victory by two decimal points. They had never done that before, and hadn’t made an adjustment like that sense.

Now, love vs. money is back, but with the twist that “fame” is now added to the mix to keep it in line with the triple threat rules of Splatoon 3.

A #Splatoon3 Splatfest approaches! This time the big question is:

What’s most important in life?
Money, fame, or love?

So this could once again be one of the closest Splatfests in history. Or, thanks to the updated options, it could be a blowout as one side chooses something over what they picked last time.

Jokes about the Splatfest aside, the topic is one of great meaning that many people have to answer in their lives.

Many people believe that love is the most important because while it’s intangible in the traditional sense, it can give your life meaning and be there for you when you need it most once you get it.

However, many others will tell you that money is most important because you need money to live. Without it, you can’t buy food, own a home, get things you like, etc.

As for fame, some crave fame because they want to “be known” by the world and appreciated for all that they do, and they’ll do anything to get it, as social media will tell you.

So yeah, this will be an interesting Splatfest when it arrives in a few weeks.
