There is plenty of anticipation and excitement over Nintendo Directs. Typically, Nintendo doesn’t offer much warning when holding these presentations. You might just get a heads-up a day in advance, and that means you never know just when these presentations will take place. Of course, we have an industry insider that is already suggesting we should see a Nintendo Direct happen this September. But again, we don’t know whether this will be the case or not directly from Nintendo quite yet.
It was just last month that we had the latest Nintendo Direct. This was a presentation to further hype up some of the games we can still expect to see still launch for the Nintendo Switch. After all, when The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launched, it was a waiting game to see if there was anything else the folks over at Nintendo had to keep this system going for the remainder of this year. That event did highlight some games, like the next major installment for Mario fans. However, thanks to a report from Comicbook.com, we know that Jeff Grubb made a comment regarding the next Nintendo Direct.
Jeff Grubb talked about the next Nintendo Direct happening on his Nintendogs podcast. The expectation given on the podcast is that we’ll see another Nintendo Direct during September, which is typically the case for Nintendo. September has been known to deliver a new Nintendo presentation, so Jeff Grubb feels that will still be the case. This might also allow Nintendo to highlight further some of the game projects they previously unveiled to the public from last month. Although, we’re sure that there will be some fans wondering if this will be the event that finally teases the next console successor for the Nintendo Switch.
Again, we just have to wait and see if this Nintendo Direct does happen in September. With Nintendo not giving fans much warning on their presentations, we’re not expecting any kind of an announcement until September arrives. Meanwhile, as mentioned, we will likely see more content from previously revealed games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which is set to launch that following month in October. If you missed out on the game’s initial announcement, you can view the trailer for the game below and mark your calendar for its release on October 20, 2023.
