Industry Insider Reveals Resident Evil 9 Launch Window

July 19, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Are new details coming soon?

Those of you who are Resident Evil fans might be itching for that next major game installment. We don’t have any indication just yet officially on where Capcom is going. We just got the remake for Resident Evil 4, and fans are wondering if we’ll continue to see Resident Evil remakes or if there is another major installment coming out into the marketplace following Resident Evil Village. While we might not have anything official quite yet, there was a comment made regarding Resident Evil 9 by a well-known video game industry insider.

If you are familiar with industry insiders, then you might be familiar with Dusk Golem. This individual has leaked a few projects out in the past, but recently, thanks to a Reddit post, we’re finding out that he might have a change of heart. The industry insider recently took to Discord and revealed that they learned about several upcoming projects recently, and it’s left them conflicting. On the one hand, they want to tease and reveal content to the public, while on the other hand, they rather get out of the leaking business. While we didn’t get a full breakdown of what Dusk Golem has recently learned, we did get a small heads-up regarding Resident Evil 9.

Dusk Golem noted that they know about several Resident Evil projects in the works, and that prompted one individual to ask when we could see Resident Evil 9. According to Dusk Golem, the launch window right now for the team is 2025. As a result, we probably won’t see anything regarding the game until next year. Of course, now some fans might be wondering if there is a remake for Resident Evil 5 or anything else being set up to launch before Resident Evil 9. At the moment, the Resident Evil 4 remake still needs the Separate Ways DLC campaign, which follows Ada’s storyline throughout the Resident Evil 4 campaign. So that could be what will hold players over until the next major installment.

Meanwhile, there was one more small tease from Dusk Golem that was shared through Reddit. It looks like Capcom has one major video game title being announced at the end of this year, which will see a launch in the fall of 2024. So we’ll have to keep an eye out for whatever this game title ends up being. Regardless, we could soon see the end of announcements coming from Dusk Golem if they opt to avoid sharing industry insider news with the public.
