A new look into the next major installment of the Payday franchise made its way into the Xbox Games Showcase. The trailer offered a few quick cuts of gameplay action-packed sequences. Fortunately, we know that this game is landing into the marketplace this September. Payday 3 is currently in the works over at Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios. The video game is said to take place after the events of Payday 2, where our gang of thieves gets another call to enter back into the life of crime. In this game, we’re following the original cast of characters from Payday: The Heist, where a new score needs to be handled. From what we know so far, is that players will find our team of criminals will be hitting places up in New York, but things are far more complex than where our thieves found themselves initially.
You have far more advanced surveillance systems in play, new law enforcement gear to worry about, and even the rise of cryptocurrency may make things a little more challenging to strike it rich while making a clean getaway. But fortunately, we got a new look into this game during today’s Xbox Games Showcase. If you didn’t catch the stream, then we have you covered.
A few new updates and trailers dropped today. One of which was Payday 3, and it came with the release date for this title. Overall, the trailer offered a compilation of quick, action-packed sequences of our group of protagonists trying to steal the goods while fighting back law enforcement that’s hot on their trail. As mentioned, players will have to overcome a slew of new obstacles in this game, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have a few new helpful gadgets of our own. We can expect more skills, weapons, and gear to deal with whatever the situation might call for.
If you’re looking to enjoy another crime-filled heist storyline with friends, then you’re in luck. It looks like Payday 3 will be landing in the marketplace later this year. If there are no surprise delays that pop up, we can expect Payday 3 to launch on September 21, 2023.
