With any new anticipated game, there is bound to be a flood of players logging into their consoles at launch. For most players, they will be taking their time within the game. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom might use the same world as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it will have plenty of new areas to explore, dungeons to clear, characters to interact with, and gear to collect. We can’t forget to mention the new abilities Link will have at his disposal. So with that said, most players will have a ton of content to make their way through before reaching the end.
But there are a ton of speedrunners that are looking to set records for games. Already, we’re learning that one speedrunner has completed the game in just 1:34:33. Those seconds count as speedrunner players strive to get through the game in record time. So being just the first day into this title’s launch, it’s impressive to see that players are already able to start charting out a strategy to shave off seconds of their game campaign. Fortunately, the speedrunner, which goes by the name Gymnast86 has given a breakdown of how they have completed the game so far.
Likewise, outside of the video explanation that showcases more insight into their run, they also featured the actual speedrun video itself. It’s noted that this is an Any% run, so we will have to wait and see just how quickly someone else manages to come in and break their record. With that said, it should take speedrunners a little time to figure out new tips, routes, tricks, and even glitches that could help them progress through the game.
Again, with Link now having a few more abilities to make use of when going through the game, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some glitches, overpowered weapons, or even some new tactics that can aid Link in quickly progressing through enemies or obstacles. At any rate, for those of you who have yet to pick up a copy, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available today exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. This game follows the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but we know that Nintendo developed the game to make it welcoming to newcomers. So if you missed out on Breath of the Wild, you can still pick up Tears of the Kingdom and enjoy it.
