CD Projekt Red has previously alerted fans that they were bringing out a few video game projects. After the disastrous launch that was Cyberpunk 2077, the studio spent plenty of time getting the game back up to its standards. However, since then, we know that the studio had a few projects it was taking on. Instead of delivering multiple expansions to Cyberpunk 2077, the studio dedicated time to just one, which was unveiled as Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Outside of that, they had revealed a few of their planned titles.
Among the different projects coming out, one of the games being developed was Project Sirius. Unfortunately, we didn’t get too many details about what this game would entail. Instead, we knew that the development team working on this game would be CD Projekt Red’s The Molasses Flood studio located in North America. Additionally, Project Sirius was set to be a brand new game in The Witcher universe, featuring a multiplayer component. But things were not looking too bright as it wasn’t long before CD Projekt Red was looking to make significant changes to the game.
We’re getting a new CD Projekt Red report showing Project Sirius is back on track. According to a regulatory announcement post, a new framework has been established for the game. This came with some financial expenditures that were adjusted to the new framework. But outside of that, we don’t have anything new to report regarding what this game will entail. Of course, it might be a good while before CD Projekt Red can market this game.
As mentioned, the developers had a few projects in the works, such as Project Polaris, the next new trilogy for The Witcher universe. Additionally, while we might only have one expansion coming out for Cyberpunk 2077, we do know that Project Orion from CD Projekt Red is said to be a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Again, much like the other projects being developed, the fine details of what to expect remain a mystery.
Fortunately, you don’t have to wait too much longer before we get something new out of CD Projekt Red. We know that we’ll get new information on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty this coming month. That expansion is slated to launch this year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. So if you enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077 on last-generation hardware, you’re going to be out of luck when it comes to V’s next storyline chapter.
