Rumor: Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Launches August 2023

April 24, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Get your mechs ready.

Armored Core fans were treated to a very welcoming surprise during The Game Awards 2022. The series was unveiled to be getting a revival with a brand new installment inbound. For fans eager to dive into the game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon couldn’t get here fast enough. At the same time, we are still waiting for an official release date announcement. However, a new report that might tell us when to expect the game to launch has surfaced online. Fans could get their hands on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon as soon as August of this year. Here’s what is being said about the game release so far.

Insider Gaming has recently published a new article stating that their sources told them Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is launching on August 25, 2023. That’s just sources, as there’s been nothing officially announced at the amount regarding the video game release. The report from Insider Gaming doesn’t expand much more than that. However, if this is the case, then we should see marketing materials really start to ramp up soon. June, for instance, might be the big jumping-off point for marketing materials. That’s a month where we’ll get a few different stream showcases.

While E3 2023 was canceled, we have the likes of Summer Games Fest, which could highlight the upcoming game. Meanwhile, if you haven’t been attached to this game franchise in the past, then you’re in luck. We already know that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a standalone installment. That means you won’t need to know anything from past games to start the game today. Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a learning curve to starting this upcoming Armored Core game.

This is a mech game, and this installment will have a robust customization system. There’s apparently going to be quite a bit of tweaking your mech before battles. So it could potentially get a bit overwhelming if this is your first time trying out an Armored Core game. Furthermore, we know that the developers are not trying to make this game into a Souls-like experience.

Currently, we don’t have the official launch date from the development team at FromSoftware. But we do know that when this game does launch into the marketplace, we’ll find it available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. In the meantime, you can check out a game trailer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in the video we have embedded above.
