NCSOFT West has announced in a press release today the launch of Blade & Soul’s first expansion, Silverfrost Mountains, for all players.
The expansion features an entirely new continent complete with new zones, quests, and endgame content designed to challenge even veteran players. Silverfrost Mountains also ups the maximum character level cap to 50 and increases the Hongmoon level to 10.
In all, eight new dungeons have been added to the game – five Expert and three Heroic – and there’s also a new weapon upgrade path. Another new feature is Clan Crafting, which lets you make potions, items, and a custom outfit for your clan members.
Here’s what players can expect from the expansion according to NCSOFT, “Silverfrost Mountains is the biggest leap forward thus far in the Blade & Soul story, further unraveling the mysterious and dynamic tale of revenge. It will incorporate additional zones as well as unveil a brand-new capital city and eight exciting new dungeons. With zones like the verdant Primeval Forests to the icy peaks of Shiverstone Range, the narrative reaches new heights as players must protect Zaiwei, the capital of Silverfrost Mountains. The danger awaiting players in the Awakened Necropolis, Avalanche Den, and Lair of the Frozen Fang Heroic dungeons will present players with new challenging content in their quests to exact revenge against Jinsoyun.”
The expansion is available alongside Blade & Soul update 2.0, details of which, including patch notes, can be found on the game’s website.
Blade & Soul launched in Europe and North America in January following a series of beta tests last year.
