June is typically a big month for the video game industry. While years ago, we had the big E3 expo to sit in on with several media showcases of what’s to come. However, the E3 expo has transitioned to more companies taking to their own online streams or video uploads. In fact, E3 2023 was outright canceled, but that’s expected. Several companies have already unveiled that they will hold their showcases online, including one of the more giant behemoths that typically had a conference at E3, Microsoft. Xbox will have a showcase this June, and with it comes a direct focus on Starfield.
We knew that on June 11, 2023, Microsoft would be holding an Xbox Games Showcase, which would bleed into a Starfield-focus direct. But you might have wondered just how long the showcase will take. Well, while we wait for the official details to emerge online, we might have a heads-up thanks to an online source. As reported by Insider Gaming, a Twitter user @_h0x0d_ has unveiled to their followers some insight they learned about the upcoming showcase. If true, we can expect the stream showcase to take place starting at 10:00 AM and last until 12:00 PM Pacific Time.
Again it’s noted that this will entail both the Xbox Games Showcase along with the Starfield-focused direct. That should provide plenty of time to not only hype up some great incredible games coming into the marketplace for the Xbox line of consoles, Xbox Game Pass, and PC. Meanwhile, Bethesda’s Starfield game is incredibly hyped, and fans are eager to dive into a new space-age RPG. So this showcase should further highlight some of the aspects of the game and perhaps even the premise as we wait for its official release date to finally arrive.
Currently, Starfield is slated to hit the marketplace a few months after the June showcase. We can expect the game to launch on September 6, 2023. That’s, of course, if there are no further delays that pop up, pushing the game further back into the calendar year. With that said, we know that when Starfield launches into the marketplace, we can expect the game to be available for the PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms. However, for now, we’ll have to wait for the June showcase to see what other finer details Bethesda is able to share with fans of the upcoming RPG.
