LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer Shows How The Game Expands On The Movie

March 23, 2016 by Stephen Daly

That’s not how the Force works.

Tt Games and Warner Bros. have released a new trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens which you can watch above.

The trailer tells us how the game will expand on the events of the movie by depicting events that occur between Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens such as Poe Dameron’s activities in the Resistance and Han Solo and Chewbacca’s adventures.

Playable characters featured in the game include Rey, Finn, Poe, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, BB-8, Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Captain Phasma. Following the events of the movie, you’ll be able to explore locations such as the Star Destroyer ruins on Jakku and the Starkiller Base.

The trailer also shows us how you can tackle puzzles and other challenges in the game. For example, you can use a spider droid to dig under an enemy barrier or lure First Order soldiers out with popcorn.

Those who pre-order the game from GameStop will receive the exclusive Jabba’s Palace Character Pack, the retailer announced today. The pack is described as follows, “The dregs of the galaxy’s criminal underworld come to LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens with Jabba’s Palace Character Pack. This character pack includes the mighty Jabba the Hutt and his loyal retainers Bib Fortuna, Malakili and Gamorrean Guards, plus the bounty hunter Booush, dancer Oola, and Princess Leia in her Jabba’s barge costume.”

PS3 and PS4 players can also expect exclusive content for the game in the form of the Droid Character Pack and the Phantom Limb level Pack. A Deluxe Edition of the game is also available for PS4 and Xbox One.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens launches on June 28th, 2016 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U.
