Dead Island 2 Achievement List Surfaces Online

April 3, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s what to expect when the game drops this month.

There is plenty of hype and anticipation built up around the launch of Dead Island 2. This is a game quite a few of us likely didn’t expect ever to see the light of day. After first being unveiled to the masses, the installment received nothing but delays. There was even a point when the game project exchanged hands with another development studio. Fortunately, Dambuster Studios managed to get this game off the ground and are now preparing to launch the title into the marketplace this month. But if you’re after achievements on the Xbox platform, you might be keen on knowing just how much you’ll be buffing your Gamerscore.

Fortunately, we got the list of achievements that you’ll be able to unlock. Thanks to an exclusive post from True Achievements, the breakdown of unlocks players must go through was unveiled. It seems that players will get 730 points that you’ll be able to add to your Gamerscore if you unlock everything. Of course, if you’re only after the main storyline campaign, then you’ll find that the achievements will be quite a bit fewer. But those that are after every little unlock available within the game can get a heads-up on what’s being asked of them.

With that said, you might want to steer away from the list if you’re looking to avoid anything that would spoil the gameplay experience. Fortunately, the list doesn’t offer much in terms of the narrative within the game. Instead, it’s mainly focused on completing a series of non-story quests, weapon challenges, collecting skill cards, and of course, slaying enemies down with certain moves or targeting limbs. You can get the full breakdown of all the achievements within the exclusive True Achievements post.

Meanwhile, Dead Island 2 is set to launch on April 21, 2023. This game will take place a decade after the events of Dead Island, where we’re tossed into the now quarantine state of California. Thanks to a new zombie outbreak, players are taking the role of a survivor trying to survive the outbreak. Of course, between you and an extraction point is a swarm of undead zombies alongside other survivors trying to make it another day themselves. Fortunately, outside of this game landing into the marketplace later within the month, you’ll also find it available on both current and last-generation consoles. Players will be able to purchase the game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
