Death Rises in Darksiders 2: An In-Depth Look at Death

January 19, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new video takes an in-depth look at Death in Darksiders 2.

Death is the most feared horseman of the apocalypse. Unlike War, who prefers to deal with his enemies head on, Death of Darksiders 2 is a bit like Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio Auditore. He’s incredibly agile, and is a calculated, elegant fighter who uses this to his advantage as he takes on his foes.

Typically armed with twin scythes, Death can combine his two weapons into a single, traditional scythe, or wield other weapons. Likewise, he can traverse the environment with ease, jumping from wall to wall—parkour style.

The world of Darksiders 2 will be given a lot more depth in contrast to its predecessor. It will be filled with various characters with whom Death can interact with and events going on. Beyond Earth, Death will make his way through angelic fortresses, demon cities, and the City of the Dead.

Darksiders 2 is set for release in June 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
