March 18, 2016 by Stephen Daly

Ada will be one of the DLC’s customizable robotic companions.

Bethesda has revealed Ada, the first robotic companion from Fallout 4’s upcoming Automatron DLC. The developer posted an image of Ada on its official Twitter account today.

As the tweet notes, Ada and other companions from the DLC will be customisable. In Automatron, players track down the evil Machinist, a name players might recall from the Silver Shroud mission in the main game. As you hunt the Machinist across the Boston Commonwealth, you’ll be able to salvage parts from his minions and use them to create and customise your own companions. Armour, limbs, abilities, voices, and paint schemes can all be changed.

New weapons, including a lightning chain gun, will also be added to the game by Automatron, which is playable once your character reaches level 15.

The DLC will be followed next month by Wasteland Workshop, which expands the workshop options available in settlements and allows you to capture wasteland creatures.

In May, Bethesda will release the largest map its ever made as a DLC, Far Harbor, which takes players from Boston to Maine.

Additional content is coming to the game later but details on what that content will be have not yet been announced. From the beginning of this month, the game’s season pass increased in price from $29.99 to $49.99 to account for the size of Far Harbor and the extra content.

Bethesda has announced that it will be hosting its second E3 press conference this year in 2016. We might learn more about the company’s DLC plans during the show.
