Rockstar Games has announced on its website that it is marking the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5’s newest GTA Online update with a week-long special event. From now until March 24th, Rockstar will be offering a range of specials and deals connected to the GTA Online Lowriders Custom Classics update that launched this week.
To begin with, Rockstar is offering double GTA$ and RP for taking part in certain modes, missions, and playlists. These will change regularly and the dates are listed below.
- March 18-20 – Sumo
- March 21 – All of the Contact Missions released with GTA Online: Lowriders
- March 22 – Keep The Pace
- March 23 – Relay
- March 24 – Offense Defense
These missions and modes can be accessed independently or via a special playlist available via the GTA Online launch screen throughout the event. Regardless of how you access them, you’ll earn double GTA$ and RP.
Discounts are also available on ammo, motorcycles, and properties during the promotion while Benny’s auto body shop will be offering 75 percent discounts on customisation options.
GTA Online discounts include:
- Dynasty 8 Properties are offering 25 percent off all Properties with a 10-car garage.
- Ammu-Nation is offering 50 percent off Rifle and Shotgun Ammo all this week.
- 25 percent off all Motorbikes
A Snapmatic contest is also being held this weekend, Rockstar has announced. Any player who customises their lowriders can take a picture via the in-game camera and post it to the Social Club with the #customclassics tag. Five pictures which “represent what the lowrider lifestyle is all about” can win $1 million GTA$, additional details can be found on Rockstar’s site.
