Well, this is just the worst thing ever. Remember how all those Foxconn employees threatened mass suicide over work and pay conditions? The head of Foxconn sees Foxconn employees as ‘animals.’
According to WantChinaTimes, Terry Gou, the head of Foxconn (who make Xbox 360’s as well as iPhones and other gadgets,) has called staff ‘animals’ and claims that managing them gives him a headache.
"Hon Hai has a workforce of over one million worldwide and as human beings are also animals, to manage one million animals gives me a headache," he allegedly said at a recent year-end party. Hon Hai is Foxconn’s Taiwanese parent company. He also allegedly went on to ask Chin Shih-chien, director of Taipei Zoo, for advice on how animals should be managed.
Foxconn made headlines recently when 300 employees of the Wuhan plant took to the roof and threatened a mass suicide.
Treat a group of animals poorly and eventually they’ll bite you, Mr Gou.
