Uncharted: Drake’s Devotion big on the Drake/Sully Romance

January 17, 2012 by Mat Growcott

Editing videos together to change the tone of a film or the relationships between characters isn’t a new thing, but it’s far from old.

"I've made a lot of mistakes, kid. Then you came piling into my life."

It's the kind of bromance moment that brings a tear to the eyes of gamers everywhere, the kind of validation that most of us don't feel we get from those around us – it can only ever really happen in fiction without it turning too homoerotic. The above video brings those moments together into a celebration that fanfiction writers everywhere will be incredibly happy about.

From the crap use of music to using other crap films as some sort of pedigree, this trailer has got the romantic movie marketing method right down. Everybody is talking about their feelings, there are some public displays of affection and at least one longing stare.

And if you really want to see a film like this well, you can't. You can't see Kane and Lynch: Crazy in Love either. Sorry.
