There’s a new update for Hitman out on the PlayStation 4 rated at version 1.02. While it’s intended to fix bugs and add performance improvements, it also accidentally removes some content from the game.
IO Interactive is aware of the issue and has announced that it will release a new patch for the PS4 version of Hitman to add the Requiem Pack items back into the game.
“This is not intended and we are investigating how to fix this and get the items back to those affected as soon as possible,” the developer said.
Regarding what the patch is actually intended to do, Hitman 1.02 adds new server fixes so players don’t lose connection to the server anymore and tweaks some of the game’s cover and trespassing systems. It also improves AI reactions to actions that may appear suspicious.
Here’s what the patch does in full:
Hitman 1.02 Patch Notes
Deployed server fixes to improve connection reliability
Multiple improvements to the flow of ‘opportunities’ in Paris and Prologue.
Improved AI reactions to ‘suspicious’ actions.
Minor tweaks to cover and trespassing zones.
Minor tweaks to challenge unlocks and descriptions.
Other general improvements
The patch will be available for PC and Xbox One soon. In case you missed it, be sure to check out our review of Hitman.
