January 16, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Dead Island will see the release of the Ryder White DLC campaign that adds all new missions to the game.

The Dead Island experience is being expanded with the release of the Ryder White DLC Campaign.

Deep Silver announced today that the new mission-based DLC pack will follow the story and perspective of the main campaign's antagonist character—Ryder White. Playable for the first time ever, the campaign will add several hours of gameplay and a number new weapon blueprints for use inside and out of the DLC.

"I always like to think of antagonist characters not as evil, but simply… misunderstood," said PR monster Aubrey Norris. "Ryder White was obviously suffering from a massive case of beast mood in Dead Island, and I think it’s only fair we got to learn his side of the story."

The DLc will be available on January 31 for 9.99 on the PLayStation 3, and on February 1 on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam.
