Ubisoft has announced that the release of Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be delayed yet again. The game will now be available on May 22 in North America and May 24 in Europe, effectively missing its intended fiscal year 2012 launch window by two months.
As is standard practice, Ubisoft has assured us that the delay "will allow Ubisoft's creative teams more time to refine the experience and deliver a game that fully achieves the level of excellence that defines the Ghost Recon franchise."
Future Soldier is certainly no stranger to delays. Originally scheduled to launch back in 2009, the game has been pushed back no fewer than four times since then. This is the smallest delay yet, so it'll hopefully also be the last.
Ubisoft has also announced that a multiplayer beta for the game will be kicking off in April. We already knew that the beta would be headed to the 360, but we've now got confirmation that PS3 owners will be able to get in on the action as well.
