Just when you thought Star Wars: the Old Republic was the only MMO you’d need from now on, this happens: A zombie MMO from the lead programmer of WoW.
Codenamed Class3, the open world MMO [Edit: It turns out that Class4 is going to be the MMO.] is being developed by Undead Labs for release on Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade title. Unlike other zombie games, such as the online FPS Left 4 Dead series, Class3 will focus more on actual survival rather than destruction. Oh – and it looks good. Like, really good.
“What if society came screeching to a halt? What if all our rules and laws no longer mattered? ‘Class3′ brings these questions to life in a very real way,” the website reads. “It’s not just about combat; it’s about doing what you must do to stay alive. Food, water, shelter, and ammo — you’ll need them all. Taking you beyond the initial panic, and beyond the first weeks of the crisis, ‘Class3′ is the embodiment of the “What if?” zombie apocalypse scenario.”
Shut up and take my money.
