In a little over 2 months time, the Commander Shepherd story will be completed. All of our decisions, all of our actions – good or bad – will play out in one final battle for the defence or destruction of the planet Earth. If that doesn't sound epic, I don't know what does. Perhaps the biggest trilogy this gen is coming to a close and Bioware are trying to make sure that every story comes to a close. Creative director Casey Hudson has spoken with the Official Xbox 360 Magazine on the future of the series.
"We want to end the trilogy really strongly, and that's the most important thing, and then we have a few ideas for things we can think about doing in the future. But we're okay with making it difficult for ourselves, because the most important thing is giving people a great ending.
"We want to do more stuff with Mass Effect, of course, and I'm sure we will."
So, simply put, don't expect too much to be left open at the end of Mass Effect 3, which I suppose is something of a blessing.
