Back to the Future The Game and Syphon Filter are this month’s US PS+ Treats

January 4, 2012 by Mat Growcott

Start 2012 with a little bit of time travelling, both Back to the Future and back to the PS1

I've not quite managed to get over last month's Spyro offerings yet – here in the UK we don't have even a single Spyro game, let alone all three of them – for free. That alone is well worth a three month subscription to the service and, no doubt, quite a few Americans felt the same way.

This month is looking to offer another decent set of games, hopefully you haven't been rushing into buying any of the recent PlayStation or Steam deals or else this one could sting a little. The spotlight game this month is none other than Telltale's Back to the Future The Game, the entire series, full of Christopher Lloyd-style goodness. They're pretty awesome so if you haven't played them yet, enjoy.

If you already have Back to the Future, I wouldn't worry. The PS1 classic this month is actually three PS1 classics: you'll be able to download three Syphon Filter games – 1, 2 and 3. Again, this is very unlikely to travel across to the EU because we still don't have the second game, but hey, it could be worse.

As always, you can expect a collection of free themes, discounts from new games and other goodies on top of the deals above. EU subscribers can expect their treats outlined at some point today.
