Hogwarts Legacy Will Allow Four Character Slots With Plenty Of Save Options

January 16, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Have a character ready from each house.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the more anticipated video games to be released this year. Players can’t wait to dive into the magical world we’ve come to know from the Harry Potter franchise. However, even though the game is slated to release in just a matter of weeks now, there are still plenty of questions left to be answered. Today, we’re at least getting some insight into the save progression and character slots that the game will provide. Fortunately, it looks like if you wanted to experience all the houses without restarting the game, then you’re in luck.

The development team and the WB Games Support Twitter account have been answering fan questions online. Today, two questions have been highlighted online that deal with save progression and character slots. According to the WB Games Support Twitter account, players can find four character slots ready when they start the game. This will allow players four different game sessions, especially if you want to experience each house without having to restart the game entirely. That’s pretty fortunate, as it doesn’t look like you’ll have to sacrifice a previous character progression after you finish the campaign.

But there’s another area worth pointing out as well. Even though you’ll have four character slots, each will have its own save progressions you can keep track of. The WB Games Support Twitter account states that each character will have an auto-save feature. This will allow the game to store your progression if you happen to forget a manual save. Of course, with that said, there are a few manual saves available too. Each character slot is said to have ten save slots so you can determine where you want to save or load from.

Again, the developers and the support staff from WB Games have been taken to Twitter and highlighted a few areas of the game for players. Recently, we got word that Hogwarts Legacy will be Steam Deck ready at launch. Meanwhile, those of you who haven’t made the preorder or are just wanting to pick the game up at launch will still have plenty of time. Currently, Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on February 10, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Meanwhile, we know that the game will also land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms later this year.
