The first batch of screens from the upcoming South Park RPG have hit the 'Net, and they're an impressive bunch. Not only has developer Obsidian managed to include all of the show's most memorable foes, from hippies to gingers to goth kids, they've also managed to replicate the look of the cartoon more perfectly than we could ever have imagined.
Most of the screens appear to showcase the game's turn-based battle system, albeit without any kind of action menu or HUD. We're still curious to see how the game will handle fluidly moving between locations, as the fixed perspective might complicate things.
Still, it's undeniable that the game manages to look absurdly close to the show its based on. We might still be years away from photorealism, but it's comforting to know that technology has advanced to a point that in-game graphics are now indistinguishable from construction paper.
