Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Deluxe Edition Art Book Set To Release In March

January 11, 2023 by Odhran Johnson

Dark Horse Books and Ubisoft are teaming up to release an in-depth Deluxe Edition of The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North – Logs and Files of a Hidden One. The 208-page hardcover art book is set to give “a detailed overview of the lore and history that inspired Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”

The Deluxe Edition is set to offer a number of extra features not found in the original including a “leather-like” protective sleeve and matching portfolio featuring two amazing prints of the game’s world all packaged together with an exclusive cover “appointed with realistic Viking decoration.”

Dark Horse’s description of the book reads: “Discover the history and culture of the Raven Clan Vikings as they struggle against the Order of the Ancients.” The Deluxe Edition itself is set to retail for $99.99 and will be on sale on March 14th, 2023 in bookstores and on March 15th, 2023 in comic shops. The book itself describes the game’s characters and world locations including Norway, Ireland, England, and France. Definitely might be a pickup for any history buff eager to see how the Assassin’s Creed team did this time around when focusing on historical accuracy. Well, as historically accurate as you can be when you’re part of a secret league of assassins I guess.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which launched on November 10th, 2020 was a mixed bag for a lot of people. The game boasted stunning visuals and a comprehensive story. The game’s overall downfall for a number of people was its length, however. The game was burdened with over 100 hours of gameplay, mostly consisting of generic fetch quests that after the first few times you completed them became repetitive. Despite this, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has found major success since its launch and a number of DLCs have been released for the game since 2020. Fans are now eagerly anticipating the four new Assassin’s Creed projects Ubisoft has in the works including the closest-to-release title, Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Dark Horse Books and Ubisoft’s recent partnership on this latest venture however will surely spark a number of players to give Assassin’s Creed Vahalla another whirl. For those who adore art books, The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North – Logs and Files of a Hidden One looks set to be a fine addition to any collector’s collection.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Amazon Luna, and PC.
