Monopoly is a great game, it brings friends and family together, and pulls them apart when you realise Grandma is cheating whore or when someone smacks David in the back of the head for staging an Occupy Monopoly protest. Now you can have all the fun and tears of Monopoly but with aliens with this neat Mass Effect Monopoly set.
SaveGameOnline stumbled on this amazing work of fandom by TommyFilth, which includes everything from it’s own board to it’s own themed chance cards and currency. The currency (which we can assume are credits, the in game currency of the Mass Effect universe,) are beautifully detailed, including barcodes, artwork, and a disclaimer that they are ‘non transferable to Omni-gel.’
Properties up for grabs include everything from the Citadel to Eden Prime, and the board pieces are coloured helmets – so no more fighting everyone for the little dog or getting stuck with the iron because you went to the toilet while they were setting up the game Go To Jail is 'Dead In Space.' How great is that?
You can find more pictures of the board over on TommyFilth’s DeviantArt page. TommyFilth says the set is inspired by a Fallout Monopoly board, which raises the question: there are Disney and Simpsons versions of the game, so why aren’t more franchises jumping on board to make these as collectibles?
No, seriously, Grandma, I saw you hide that extra note under the board. Stop it. I hate you. Back off Grandpa, she’s cheating.
