One of my favourite things about Rock Band is using it as an avenue to give myself crippling RSI, and Harmonix is now making that a lot easier with the addition of a 20 minute song.
Over the next week, Harmonix will be making Rush’s 2112 available as downloadable content. 2112 goes for about 20 minutes, which is sure to cause you to have a carpal tunnel sydrome relapse in no time.
Don’t get too worried about your Rock Band cred, however, as Harmonix has split the song into seven ‘acts,’ which are all available for download separately. Those who download all the acts and are feeling brave will still have the option to play the song all together in it’s entirety.
While the idea of playing this on your little plastic guitar is one thing, I would really, really hate to be the guy who gets shoved on drums for this one. At least you might save on a gym membership.
The pack will cost US $5.49, with individual acts costing US $1.99 on Xbox 360 and US $2.00 for the Wii.
