“I keep throwing my wallet at the screen but it does nothing.”
More than just a concept, Introversion Software has finally put up a video—a timelapse—for its latest game—Prison Architect. Like Darwinia and Uplink before it, Prison Architect is wholly unique game—a take on the Prison Industrial Complex.
Players take on the role of the titular prison architect, who must construct an efficient prison to house numerous inmates. The prison itself is divided into multiple cellblocks, replete with a kitchen, yard, shower, and other amenities for the prisoners and their captors.
The timelapse shows how the prison is built in a day, as it transitions from dawn to dusk.
The studio intends to release the game in time for the Indie Games Festival in 2012. Judging from the video and Introversion’s past efforts, Theme Hospital may finally be getting a run for its money.
