Gears of War 3 is getting a new map pack titled "Fenix Rising" on January 17. The pack includes five new maps, four character skins, and an all new system that lets players "Re-up" through level 100 multiple times to unlock new weapon skins and emblems.
Players who attain level 100 can "Re-up" by starting back at level 1. They can do this up to three times, earning Bronze, Red, Green, and Gold rank icons for each reset.
It would seem that the new experience system is little different from the Prestige system of the Call of Duty games—not that I'm complaining or anything.
The five new maps in the content package include Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation, and The Slab. Each of these maps will be available across Versus Multiplayer, Horde, and Beast Mode.
Likewise, four new character skins will be made available for players. These include Recruit Clayton, Thrashball Cole, Savage Marauder, and Savage Kantus.
