Two special editions of Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky have been announced today.
iam8bit is selling a PC version of No Man’s Sky called the Explorer’s Edition which is limited to 10,000 copies. This version comes with a digital copy of the game, a pin, a “mystery item” which will be revealed at launch, and a hand-painted 8-inch replica of the ship featured in the game. It costs $149.99.
GameStop meanwhile has listed a Limited Edition of the game for PlayStation 4. Aside from a copy of the game, you also get a steelbook case, a 48-page artbook, an exclusive comic book, and a PS4 dynamic theme. In-game bonuses include a “starter pack” offering a ship boost, resource bonuses, and an in-game weapon blueprint. The Limited Edition will be available for $79.99.
If that’s not enough for you, a range of No Man’s Sky merchandise has also been announced. There’s a double LP vinyl record soundtrack for $35, an Atlas pin for $10, an Atlas t-shirt for $23, a set of eight art cards for $20, and a range of prints and posters for $25 to $60. These items comprise the first wave of merchandise for No Man’s Sky with more to follow over the coming months.
It was announced today that No Man’s Sky will be released on June 21st in North American and on June 24th in Europe for $60 or local equivalent. Pre-orders for the game are open from today and Hello Games Sean Murray has expressed interest in bringing the title to VR but no plans to do so have been confirmed yet.
