One of the games that some people predicted would arrive at The Game Awards was Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The game has been at the show multiple times, and many hoped that this time around, we’d get the release date for the title. We did get the release date, but that wasn’t the only thing we got. Not only did we get a new trailer for the game, but we also got a return that many weren’t sure about. Batman will be in the game, and he will, one last time, be portrayed by the legendary Kevin Conroy.
To remind you, Kevin Conroy passed away in November after a fight with cancer. As a result, many wondered if he had recorded any final lines as the Caped Crusader before his passing. Sure enough, he will be in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, much to fans’ surprise. Remember that the game is a continuation of the Arkham titles that Rocksteady made, and given the events that ended the trilogy, many felt that Batman wouldn’t be in the game. But you can’t keep a Batman down; he’ll be one of the foes you have to face through the Suicide Squad.
In the game, Brainiac has taken over the minds of the Justice League, and the only way to save the world is to use the four members of the Suicide Squad to fight them. You’ll play Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark in an attempt to save everyone. What could possibly go wrong?
The co-op title will let you play with friends as you fight the hordes of enemies that Brainiac will throw at you, and there are still a few things that we don’t know about yet.
For example, we still haven’t seen all the Justice League members that we’ll fight. We know that The Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman were teased, but will that be all? After all, the Justice League has had many members over the years, and it was never confirmed how many were in Rocksteady’s universe.
Returning to Kevin Conroy, it was a thrill to hear his voice again; many will likely play the game to honor him when the time comes. He will be missed, and it was great that he could record those final lines.
