Having been on the hearts and minds of PlayStation fans all of 2021, PC fans have been living in hope that HouseMarque’s PS5 instant classic Returnal would find its ways to their platform. After months of rumous, store listings, and leaks, finally that moment has come around, with The Game Awards proving to be the stage for PlayStation to reveal that Returnal would be coming to PC at an unspecified date in 2023.
Returnal was one of the year’s best-received games of 2021, collecting its own swag of awards at The Game Awards 2021, and now the PC audience can finally get on board as well.
About Returnal:
After crash-landing on a shape-shifting alien planet, Selene finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again and again she’s defeated, forced to restart her journey every time she dies. In this roguelike shooter, both the planet and your equipment change with every cycle, forcing you to adapt your play style and take on evolving challenges.
Returnal was beloved for the game’s incredible visuals, its richly immersive and climactic, arcade-inspired action that was true to the roots of Housemarque, but brought with it the AAA polish and execution found in the very best PlayStation First Party exclusive game.
