Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has released his Ludum Dare (LD48) entry in a Tweet earlier today. To no one's surprise, he called it Minicraft.
Yay, I finished my
#ld48 game! It's Minicraft, and you can play it here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/ld48/ld22/index.html
The game requires players to explore the world and random dungeons, collect resources, and craft new structures; all for the sake of defeating the evil Air Wizard.
LD48 is a game development competition where participants are given 48 hours to create a game from scratch according to a theme announced at the start of the contest.
