Dozens of costumes in Bravely Second: End Layer appear to have been changed for the game’s Western release, a fan who dug into the game’s files has discovered.
We already know that the game’s Tomahawk class has been tweaked from its original Native American design to a more cowboy-ish design. While we originally suspected that would be the extent of the changes, it now seems there are plenty more altered designs which have been altered to make them less revealing.
A Pastebin list of all the changes has been created by the fan to document the changes. None of the changes are as dramatic as the one for the Tomahawk costume but most of the changes have taken place in order to cover up more skin.
Examples of the changes can be found in the video below.
The game allows players to take on various strange jobs, including catmancer and patissier, which undermines enemies via various desserts. There are 12 new jobs in the game and 30 in total. You can find a more complete list here.
Bravely Second: End Layer will be released on April 15th in North America on Nintendo 3DS. The game is available now in both Europe and Japan.
The game’s collector’s edition was revealed in January. For $69.99, you get a copy of the game, a 250 page art book, and a 10 song soundtrack.
What do you think of the cosmetic changes to the game? Are they enough to put you off getting End Layer or encourage you to import it?
