Remember how we reported not too long back about a new Pokemon game? Turns out it’s not what we would have expected – unless you were expecting something with Samurais set in fuedal Japan, in which case, congratulations.
Pokémon Plus Nobunaga's Ambition will see Nitendo and Tecmo Koei teaming up for something completely different to what anyone may have predicted. According to Famitsu, the game is a ‘historical simulator,’ and will see the Pokemon and Nobunaga’s Ambition franchises crossing over in a mish-mash of… Japan, really.
Nobunaga’s Ambition titles are set in the Sengoku fuedal period in Japan, perhaps Pokemon battles are even older than we thought? Koei has previously worked with other studios to collaborate on titles such as Gundam Musou and One Piece Kaizoku Musou.
The game will be released for Nintendo DS, with a scheduled Spring release in Japan.
What exactly can we expect to happen in this game? Only time will tell.
