The end of Chapter 3 in Fortnite is rapidly approaching. Epic Games has shared a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Fracture event, which will be taking place this Saturday, December 3.
The event gets underway at 4 PM ET / 1 PM PT / 9 PM GMT / 10 PM CEST. However, players will be able to get a head start on the action, thanks to the implementation of the “Fracture” playlist. This will open up 30 minutes prior to the event itself so that players can begin exploring some of the end-of-chapter content before everything gets underway.
Ahead of the finale action, Epic Games has tweeted a new teaser video clip that hints at some of the incoming destruction headed to the Battle Royale island. Explaining that “nothing ever lasts forever,” the clip shows the game’s island paradise being shattered, as well as depicting some serious cyclone damage that could be on the cards. You can check out the teaser footage right here ahead of the event itself this weekend.
The clip should also serve as a reminder to players currently working through their battle pass to stock up on any items and rewards while they still can. Players should be aware that any unspent Battle Stars will unlock the first available rewards in the Battle Pass at the end of the Season, so now’s the time to make any last-minute purchases. Bargain Bin Week is also currently underway and will run up until an hour before the Fracture event kicks off on Saturday. During this time players will be able to take advantage of some big discounts on character goods and services which players can buy using their gold bars.
Epic Games has also advised players who wish to relive the experience of Fracture to record and save their gameplay during the event. This is because Fracture is a one-time-only event that won’t be available to be replayed in future. It’s all sounding a lot like that time Fortnite went dark for a few days as part of the “The End” event during Fortnite Season 10. Hopefully, Fracture won’t be as mysterious though. We do know some of what to expect on Saturday, thanks to an earlier update on the Fortnite website.
Whether or not we’ll get any further teasers about exactly what Fracture has in store, we’ll just have to wait and see over the coming days. Regardless, it seems like the overarching narrative is all to do with the end of paradise, so it may be that Chapter 4 will herald a new villainous era in Fortnite when it gets underway, presumably at the beginning of next week.
Fortnite is available free to play now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.
