It’s hard to believe that Pokémon is entering it’s 20th year anniversary, mostly because I remember when the show got big, going to school with the Pokémon trading cards, battling friends, picking up the original titles, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, along with the special Pokémon Yellow version, I was addicted, but I digress. While I fathom just how fast time flew by and we’re now celebrating two decades of the hit Pokémon franchise, 3D Hubs announced a neat little promotion on how they are celebrating the Pokémon anniversary.
Everyone has their favorite starter Pokémon, for me it’s Charmander which eventually evolved into Charizard. Now you can 3D print out your favorite little starter Pokémon to set on your desk or decorate your shelves thanks to 3D Hubs. Teaming up with 3D designer Agustin Flowalistik, 3D Hubs has presented some of the more desirable Pokémon in a low-poly 3D print design.
According to Agustin Flowalistik, the designer behind the 3D low-poly Pokémon figures, he decided to start this project as a challenge and was able to accomplish his goals of using low-poly styles in which allowed 3D printers to create high-quality models. Currently, there is a number of different Pokémon featured for purchase including the first generation starters, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. However, the list continues on with the second generation starters along with Clefairy, Lapras, and Pikachu.
In other Pokémon news, Nintendo officially announced two new Pokémon titles, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Additionally, it was discovered that gamers can still come across the MissingNo glitch within the latest digital release of Pokémon Blue.
