Bungie wants to take gamers behind the scenes at Destiny in the buildup to their Spring Update, and they have found the perfect solution: Twitch.
For the next few weeks, members of different teams at Bungie will be appearing on livestream to discuss different aspects of Destiny’s development. It all starts on March 2, when Senior Artist Andrew Hopps and Senior Designer Brian Frank discuss Oryx’s fortress and how they fill it up with loot.
The following weeks will feature these topics, in no particular order:
- The audio team will discuss their creative process, making every piece of sound on the game from theme songs to gunshots
- Clan Resolute’s leaders will be on hand to talk about the community aspect of clans, and they will also be playing Rift live
- Discussion of the Content Roadmap, and this includes information on the highly anticipated Spring Update
In Bungie’s own words, the Spring Update will contain:
a significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability.
Each livestream will also be blogged, so fans will know what to look forward to with each coming stream.
Bungie has very recently been improving multiplayer on Destiny, and for this purpose has recently been putting out matchmaking updates in the hopes of getting positive feedback.
