February 25, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Gearbox Software along with 2K Games has introduced three new playable heroes within their upcoming video game release, Battleborn. The three heroes introduced are Shayne and Aurox, Kelvin, and Whiskey Foxtrot. There are even Battleborn gameplay videos available, capturing the newly announced character move sets, abilities, ultimate, DNA tree, along with their augmentations.

Shayne is described as your everyday teenage girl full of angst. She’s moody, a punk, and has survived on her own by scavenging anything and everything that’s not nailed down. However, Shayne seemed to have mysteriously bonded with an energy devouring alien creature, Aurox. Now with having use of more power than she could ever imagine, Shayne is nearly unstoppable which likely won’t mix well with all that teenage angst.

Kelvin may look like a giant Ice Golem, a bloodthirsty beast ready to extract its brute force on anyone that wanders by, but that’s not the case. Sure, Kelvin is a bloodthirsty powerful beast, but instead, Kelvin is actually an entire microorganism civilization that has joined together in order to become one giant reckoning force.

Lastly, we have Whiskey Foxtrot. First introduced as one of the early iteration “Mike” clones, Whiskey Foxtrot is actually an android with gear attached together from random scavenger searches. Everything is slightly off with Whiskey Foxtrot making him unique and a cut above the rest.

For those unaware, Battleborn is an upcoming first-person shooter video game with MOBA elements. Battleborn also marks as Gearbox Software’s first intellectual property since the release of Borderlands. Currently, Gearbox Software and 2K Games will be releasing the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 3, 2016.
