Battlefield 3 is banned in Iran following outrage at a scene depicting a US assault on Tehran, but the insult goes much deeper than simply denying the game's sale. Instead, a call to arms by Iran's National Foundation of Computer Games has been issued, asking for developers to come forward to create a retaliatory game, "Assault on Tel Aviv."
No information seems to have come out about the game itself, but it goes to show just how angry people are.
My favourite part of the source article is the revelation that Iran has sent letters to EA that have gone ignored. I can just imagine one of EA's PR representatives picking up a letter where the return address just says "Iran" and somehow deciding that isn't an important enough use of their time.
