Black Desert Online is ready to flip the “off” switch on its second closed beta, but Daum Games Europe wants to share its appreciation with all of the players who took time to participate. The company announced it will be running an online contest, beginning March 3 when the game launches, continuing through to March 22.
The MMO is encouraging its players to participate in one of three community-centric contests:
- And the Oscar goes to… – Upload a Black Desert Online music video to YouTube using the game’s original score and BGM. The best entries will win limited edition Black Spirit statues and T-shirts.
- Get movin! – Take a selfie of your character on any form of transportation. Rewards include various in-game items.
- One for all and all for one – Take a screenshot with your guildmates. Rewards include various in-game items.
In addition, an interview was posted on the Black Desert Online forums with members of the Pearl Abyss development team, which gives insight into some of the upcoming changes and updates players can expect. The developers fielded questions from community members on the forums on everything from plans to add additional races to insight into how the classes will develop to whether or not new regions will be added. Pearl Abyss indicated, among other things, that they were also in the process of improving enemy AI for some of the game’s key boss characters.
