If you like your video game art, now might be a good time to make a trip to the Netherlands – a new gallery in Utrecht has opened that focuses on art from video games.
The gallery, opened by Cook & Becker, features work from several well known artists including Katamari creator Keita Takahashi and PaRappa creator Masaya Matsuura. Other works will be shown at the gallery soon, according to their website, including that of Killzone creators; Guerrilla games.
“Coming Soon – Exclusive art from Guerrilla, a growing development studio with an established reputation as one of Europe’s leading game developers.” The website reads. “Best known for their Killzone franchise, they are called upon by Sony Computer Entertainment to deliver immersive and visually spectacular platform exclusives.”
Seriously go and check out the website if you have the time, because there’s some absolutely breath taking work on there. Hell, might even be a good excuse to visit the Netherlands. It’s lovely, really.
