Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a far larger game than you realize. It’s been out for six years now and has steadily been adding content throughout the years. Not just in the characters from the anime and original story to bring in, but the quests you can do, the skills you can use, and so on. The game is so popular that it’s sold over nine million units! But they’re not stopping now, not even close. Because now, they’ve launched the “Hero of Justice” pack that’ll bring three new characters to the mix and give you other content to do as well.
Within the pack are the characters of Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Gohan, all from the latest movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The first two characters are the latest android creations of the Red Ribbon Army, built to beat Goku and his allies. Goku, however, was off the planet, so Gohan and Piccolo had to deal with them. The Gammas are basically brothers, but you’ll play them separately in the game. Each has similar powers but different approaches to combat and how they attack.
Then, there’s Gohan, who will be in one of his “awakened” power states. No, not the one that we see at the end of the movie, but the one he uses for the initial fight with the Gammas. These three additions will be exciting for those who loved the film, which, based on the box office results, was quite a few people.
But, true to the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s history with content, they didn’t just give you new characters. Instead, there are more parallel quests to do, costumes to wear, skills to unlock, and more. Plus, as the trailer showcases, a free update will help add even more to the title.
Wait, there’s more to talk about! Because at the end of the trailer, they highlight that another content pack is coming, and the first character they show for that pack is none other than Orange Piccolo. This was the transformation the character got after a wish from Shenron. All his power was brought to the surface, and it was enough for him to beat Gamma 2.
That announcement might also mean that the other characters we get in the second pack will be Beast Gohan and Cell Max. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement for confirmation, though.
Either way, fans of the game have more to enjoy now.
