If this classification listing over at the British Board of Film Classification is anything to go by, Sony is looking to release Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition soon.
While the Komplete Edition (get it? Because Kombat is also spelled with a K) doesn’t have any specifics detailed in the classification listing, chances are that we can assume it will just be a re-release of the original game with the DLC included.
This is still good news for those of you who don’t even own the original yet, however. There are four DLC characters already listed on Xbox Live and the PSN that you just might get bundled in with the base game. These characters include Skarlet, Kenshi from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Rain for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and, last but not least, Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy makes a guest appearance because apparently there just wasn’t enough blood.
Also available is the ‘Klassic DLC Pack,’ including seven new fatalities and skins for Sub-Zero, Reptile and Scorpion. The listing does, however, confirm that the game will have an 18 rating in the UK for strong, bloody violence. (Are you really surprised?) T
he release date is slated for February 17th in the UK.
