Following their street break of Skyrim, Target stores in Australia have already started selling copies of Mario Kart 7 early. You’d think they’d put some post-it notes on the cases or something.
Kotaku posted a picture of a receipt of a game that was purchased in Tuggeranong, Canberra. This was followed by another image sent in of a copy purchased at George Street EB Games in Sydney. Don’t get too excited, however. As far as we can tell, these are isolated street breaks, although knowing how they tend to snowball it could develop.
According to commenter, Matt, Melbourne's Swanston Street EB will be selling the game tomorrow should more breaks occur. We're unable to confirm this, however.
Hopefully stores can hold out until the December 3rd release date so we don’t have to put on pants and leave the house earlier than we planned, like when Skyrim broke street date and gamers everywhere were charging into stores looking rather unkempt.
In Australia, we’re too busy fighting off giant spiders to care about street dates.
