Just Cause 3’s Sky Fortress Will Turn You Into A Flying Rocket Launcher

February 18, 2016 by Holly Green

The addition of the wingsuit will change the fundamental core Just Cause 3 experience.

The first content pack for Just Cause 3 is coming out next month and today new details from Square Enix have surfaced to give fans an idea of what to expect when it launches. As part of the Air, Land, and Sea Expansion Pass, Sky Fortress will offer a new set of missions along with an impressive arsenal of fantastic weapons to complete them with, namely the over-the-top Bavarium Wingsuit featuring shoulder mounted machine guns and auto targeting missiles. While this effectively turns Rico into a weaponized Rocketeer, he also gets some additional firepower in the form of a personal Eviction defense drone and a Bavarium Splitter assault rifle. No doubt this is more than enough heat to pack as he takes on the foreboding titular Sky Fortress.

If you think those sound good, then it only gets better. Noting that the Bavarium Wingsuit essentially reinvents the core Just Cause 3 gameplay, Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios Tobias Andersson says that all the items have been fully integrated so that they can be used in the completion of the base game and all its missions.

Sky Fortress comes out in March, with a second and third content pack to follow. Land Mech Assault will add more missions to the game along with a heavily armored mech vehicle that is mounted with a gravity gun. Details on the third, Bavarium Sea Heist, have not been revealed. Each will individually cost $11.99, while the Expansion Pass is set at $24.99  All three content packs will release before the end of summer 2016 and be available a week early to pass holders.

Just Cause 3 debuted November 30, 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One to strong reviews. For more on Just Cause 3 be sure to check out the Gameranx site tag for all the latest posts.
